"Nilsen tegner og forteller" is a non profit business, based on curiousity, experience and good team fellowships. The main goal for my company is to develop an tell unique stories, with a genuine human approach/touch and high end filmatic quality.
Terje Nilsen has worked as a director and producer for nearly 30 years. He started his career at NRK in 1989, and carried on directing several documentaries (Brennpunkt and Gringos), a number of music and youth programs (U, Midt i smørøyet, Panorama, Wah Wah), humour (Alex) and two drama series (Flåttum gård og Det tredje Tegnet). In 2001 he produced Expedition Robinson for Strix Television. For the next 14 years he was developing/directing/producing TV content (documentary and culture series) for Fabelaktiv AS (Prøysen, Ansikt til Ansikt (three seasons), Rødt, hvitt og skrått, Expedition Dronning Mauds Land, Birken). During his career he has won several awards (Gullruten four times and Prix Jeunesse). He also worked several seasons as producer/director/interviewer for the Emmy awarded children programme Energy Survival.
From 2015-23 he was employed as CEO and film consultant at Østnorsk filmsenter.
