Key function: Writer / Documentary film maker
My main profession is writing. However, due to my interest in cinema and film, as well as my abilities in editing and directing, I have been able to combine writing with cinema and create several short documentary films. However, these films have been self-funded, and some of my projects have remained incomplete due to financial issues. My next book will be a collection of short stories, but many of these short stories can also be turned into films. Although I haven't made any fiction films so far, I am also very interested in exploring this area. Certainly, filmmaking is not a solo process. I hope to be able to bring my ideas to fruition in an active and strong team. The documentary films I have made so far include a feature-length documentary about book censorship in Iran, a short documentary about a woman who decides to seek asylum during her trip to Sweden, and several other topics. A project I started eight years ago in Turkey, which remains unfinished, involved interviewing refugees who fled the country and listening to their stories about their journey and escape.
