Amarcord is a production company for film and tv-productions run by producer, director and screenwriter Thomas Robsahm. Robsahm has produced more than fifty films including Loveable by Lilja Ingolfsdottir, Dancing Queen by Aurora Gossé, The Worst Person in the World, Thelma and Louder Than Bombs by Joachim Trier, Hope by Maria Sødahl, The Angel by Margreth Olin and more.
The films have been in competition at festivals in Cannes, Berlin, Toronto, Karlovy Vary and Sundance. Louder Than Bombs won the Nordic Council Film Award in 2015 and Hope was nominated to two European Film Awards and was on the Oscar shortlist in 2021. The Worst Person in the World won best actress at Cannes Film Festival and was nominated for two Oscars. Loveable won five awards at Karlovy Vary Film Festival.
Amarcords first production Dancing Queen by Aurora Gossé won 17 awards including Amanda for best childrens film and was screened at more than 70 festivals. The next production in Dancing Queen in Hollywood, followed by the final film in this trilogy: Dancing Queen at the Summer Island. The company is currently developing a number of films and documentaries.
Amarcord has also co-produced films for directors such as Lilja Ingolfsdottir, Joachim Trier, Halfdan Tøndel, Kristoffer Borgli, Fanny Ovesen, Emil Trier, Maria Sødahl, Ellen Ugelstad and more.
